The Core analysis uses the Base case as a starting point and contains the mean climate and mean impact conditions. Its unique features are that it includes the energy-to-make-energy (Own-Use) and has the Advantaged countries paying for 50% of the Disadvantaged countries’ mitigation costs. The Own-Use demands cause a dramatic overshoot in capacity. Once the capacity is built, the capacity to build other capacity is no longer needed and depreciates away.
